The Sarah Thorne Theatre CIC was formed in 2007 to answer a request from KCC Adult Education to re-open, operate and restore the long disused theatre on the Hilderstone site in Broadstairs.
Now in our 19th year we continue to present various productions both professional and community all year round, including a traditional pantomime.
We are self funding but welcome donations and sponsorship plus one off project grants. Led by a professional management and technical crew we have a small dedicated group of volunteers to assist.
When KCC announced their departure from the Hilderstone site in 2025 a lease was arranged to protect the Sarah Thorne Theatre and then a benevolent landlord bought the site to protect it for continued community use.
We have ongoing repairs to the building set at £1,000 each period but for larger donations please contact us. Sponsorship packages are also available so please contact us if you are interested in sponsoring us.
Although we are every busy there are often times when private hire is available. For further information please contact us.
