The Sarah Thorne Theatre Company are delighted to announce the launch of the “Sarah Thorne Musical Society” and the inaugural production in June 2017 will be “Cowardy Custard”, a fantastic fast paced revue of Noel Coward’s wonderful music and lyrics. The show tells the story of Coward’s life through song and biographical snippets. The show will be produced by Michael Wheatley-Ward and Directed by Peter Barnett.
First performed at London’s Mermaid theatre in 1972 (405 performances) it was one of the last Noel Coward shows staged during his life. It was devised by Gerald Frow, Alan Strachan and Wendy Toye and featured well known names as Patricia Routledge, Elaine Delmar, Una Stubbs and Derek Fowlds.
We will be looking for dynamic, experienced singers who can act and move well and are especially keen to see those who have performed previous comedy roles.
The show will be performed on June, 2nd, 3rd and 4th at the Sarah Thorne Theatre, Hilderstone, Broadstairs. For audition dates and pieces, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or the Director: email@example.com.
